Builders Club:
More than 1,200 clubs serving their communities.
Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high students, with more than 40,000 members worldwide.

The first Builders Club was chartered in 1975. Today, there are more than 1,200 clubs in Aruba, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada, Italy, Jamaica, Korea, Martinique, Netherlands Antilles, Philippines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States.

Builders Club is a student-led community service organization operating under school regulations and draws its members from the student body.  Community-based Builders Clubs can also be established at churches, libraries, YMCAs, lodges, or similar facilities.  A Kiwanis club, composed of like-minded, service-oriented people from the community, serves as the club’s sponsor.  Owosso is proud to have an active and contributing Builders Club.

Builders Club is structured only on the local club level but is supported by the Kiwanis International Office in Indianapolis, Indiana, which provides programs, literature, and opportunities to relate to teenagers from countries worldwide.

An example of the Builders Club  helping:  Christ Episcopal Church Thanksgiving food distribution  for families in need in November 17, 2009.  Boxes of food were distributed  to 47 families that week alone. Builders carried the boxes and helped to distribute turkey, chicken, and ham.

An ongoing project 2014 - 2016 is supporting the Baby Pantry in Owosso.

A special 2015 Project was assisting Faculty Advisor, Mr. Bird, in his quest for the Mr. Owosso title.  The success of this lay with both the teacher and the students who happily worked so hard to provide the fundraising for The ARC.

Our Builders Club ROCKS!
